Jo Harris

Director and Psychologist

Jo Harris, founder and Director of Real Minds Psychology is a Registered Psychologist & Agricultural Scientist and has been working in regional mental health and agriculture for over 15 years. Jo describes herself as a down to earth country girl, who understands the stressors that come with living regionally. Having grown up on a farm herself,  Jo knows the importance of building solid, trusting and confidential relationships, in order to cultivate personal growth and healing.


Jo works from a compassionate and strengths-based framework utilising a range of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma Informed ACT, Dialectical Behavioural Skills (DBT) Therapy, Psychoeducation, Social Skills Training, Mindfulness-based interventions and behavioural therapies as well as group therapy facilitation.


Jo has a wide range of experience working across the lifespan and will see clients aged 14years, 9months and older. Jo is currently accepting referrals for adolescents and adults requiring assistance with:


  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Post traumatic stress Disorder
  • Adjustment Disorders
  • Grief and Loss
  • Bi-polar
  • Schizophrenia, and
  • Social skills development including Difficulties with self-esteem, confidence and assertiveness.

Clare Bayliss

Administration Manager

Originally from the small coastal town of Littlehampton in the UK, Clare has called Australia home for the past 17 years. Since moving to Queensland, Clare has spent five years living in South West Queensland where she met her husband and worked for the family business before relocating to Meringandan West in 2014.


Clare is currently studying Human Services - Health and Wellbeing at the University of Southern Queensland and previously worked in a private practice as a Senior Receptionist before joining Real Minds Psychology.


In her spare time, Clare enjoys camping with family and friends and walking with her labrador, Alfie!
