A psychological assessment is a process of evaluating an individual's mental health, academic and behavioural functioning using standardised tests, observations, and other methods. It is typically conducted by a mental health professional, such as a psychologist, and is used to diagnose mental health conditions or academic aspects, determine appropriate treatment options and recommendations and measures progress in treatment. The goals of psychological assessment are to better understand a person’s strengths and challenges, identify potential problems with cognitions, and emotional reactivity, and make recommendations for treatment/remediation.
Please speak with your psychologist if you require any written reports.
